Steve Kluemper, Joe Jasinski, and Dylan Spadt are medalists in the 2017 Lehigh Valley Open Amateur Qualifying Tournament

BETHLEHEM — Former Freedom golfer Steve Kluemper shot 3-over-par 74 Sunday to earn amateur medalist honors in the 2017 Lehigh Valley Open Amateur Qualifying Tournament at the Bethlehem Golf Club.
Kluemper, a 24-year-old Bethlehem resident, led a group of six Amateur Division qualifiers. Former Bethlehem Catholic golfer Nick Maff (2016) and Carlos Fullerton of Lower Macungie Township tied for second at 75.
Two golfers shot 74 to share medalist honors in the Senior Amateur Division: Joe Jasinski of Bethlehem, and Dylan Spadt of Hanover Township.
Overall, six amateurs and three senior amateurs advanced to compete in the 2017 Lehigh Valley Open, to be played July 24-25 at Northampton Country Club.

Amateur alternates (five): 1. Schuyler Hart 77; 2. Riley Hogan 77; 3. Kyle Morrow 77; 4. Luke Smith 78; 5. Mike Ashcraft 78.
Senior Amateur qualifiers (three): 1-T. Joe Jasinski 74, Dylan Spadt 74; 3. James Boburka 75.
Senior Amateur alternates (two): 1. Rob Smith 76 (won on first hole of sudden-death playoff); 2. Rich Thon 76.
