Moravian Academy senior Drew Warner wins 2017 Owen McCall Memorial
BETHLEHEM TWP. — Moravian Academy senior Drew Warner shot 4-over-par 38-37–75 Sunday to win the 23rd annual Owen McCall Memorial at Green Pond Country Club.
Warner, the 2016 Colonial League champion, hit 11 greens in regulation and had 33 putts.
A three-year starter for the Lions golf program, Warner is expected to be a key player in Moravian Academy’s quest to win a fourth consecutive Colonial League team championship.
Two Moravian Academy senior golfers tied for second place at 78: Matt Pulcini and Bobby Beck.
Liberty sophomore Joseph Altemose, the defending tournament champion, shot 79 to finish in fourth place.
The tournament served as the official qualifier for the Lehigh Valley Amateur Junior Division. A total of 32 golfers battled for the 16 available match play spots, and alternate positions.
